Tricia Barr in Star Wars Insider Issue #147

Last year, FANgirl contributor Mary Sheridan interviewed cultural critic Camille Paglia, author of the book Glitter Images: A Journey Through Art from Egypt to Star Wars. As the Star Wars Insider was preparing for its Prequel Trilogy focused issue, editor Jonathan Wilkins suggested Paglia’s thoughts on George Lucas, whom she calls the “greatest living artist,” would make a great addition to the issue. So I arranged an interview. As always, Paglia is insightful, using her knowledge of history and art to bring a unique perspective to Star Wars.

Also in the latest Star Wars Insider, VIPs and fans shared their “50 Greatest Reason To Love the Star Wars Prequels.” As I noted over at Suvudu, “[f]ans of Star Wars books will recognize some names: authors Jason Fry, Joe Schreiber, John Jackson Miller, Timothy Zahn, Drew Karpyshyn, J.W. Rinzler, Pablo Hidalgo, Karen Miller, and Troy Denning, editor Erich Schoeneweiss, artists Joe Corroney and Chris Trevas, and Suvudu contributors Eric Geller and me.”

Star Wars Insider Issue #147 has been delivered to subscribers and is available at newsstands, comic book stores, and book stores. For more information on the magazine or to subscribe, check out the Star Wars Insider website.

Tricia Barr took her understanding of brand management and marketing, mixed it with a love of genre storytelling, and added a dash of social media flare to create FANgirl Blog, where she discusses Star Wars, fandom, and strong female characters. She also writes about Star Wars for Random House’s science fiction and fantasy blog Suvudu.com and Star Wars Insider magazine and is a contributor for Her Universe’s Year of the Fangirl. Her FANgirl opinions can be heard on the podcasts Assembly of Geeks and RebelForce Radio Presents Fangirls Going Rogue.
